Channel Veteran & Training Specialist @ BlueStar

Mike has extensive channel experience as the co-founder of DevPro Journal and Managed Services Journal, which provide valuable content on trends, technologies, and business IT needs for VARs, MSPs, integrators, and ISVs. He previously worked as a network administrator and technical writer for a business technology firm. He has also served on the RSPA Member Board of Directors. Mike is creating in-person training content for regular sessions at BlueStar HQ and developing virtual content that can be delivered through a learning management system.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the In-Person BlueStar Academy experience?

Training takes place at BlueStar US headquarters in Hebron, KY (just down the road from Cincinnati International Airport) over 1.5 days. Training is free to partners (breakfasts, lunch, dinner, and evening entertainment are provided at no cost). Training includes technology lessons, sales strategies, a BlueStar warehouse tour, tech demonstrations, and opportunities to network with your BlueStar team.

How much does BlueStar Academy cost?

In-person BlueStar Academy is available free of charge to BlueStar partners. Travel and lodging are not provided. Meals and entertainment are provided.

What can BlueStar Academy students expect when they enroll?

For the in-person training at BlueStar HQ in Northern Kentucky, students will spend a day and a half exploring topics such as Barcoding and RFID, POS & Payments, Digital Signage, or industry deep dives. Attendees will have ongoing access to online course materials, updates, and a digital community, allowing them to stay connected with BlueStar and their classmates. In the future, fully online courses will be available, as will regional or on-site training at the partner site.
